Unwanted sun exposure can cause glare, fade your furniture, and be a nuisance. Where most window treatments can handle these issues, automating the process can create peace of mind.

Uniting the PowerView® Automation app, you can program in the location and direction of your windows. Your system will automatically open and close your motorized blinds according to the projected level of sunlight.

Child & Pet Safety

All window treatments equipped with Hunter Douglas PowerView® Automation are fully cordless— this makes them safe for homes with small children and pets, as there is no danger of getting caught and tangled in long pull cords or chains. The system also includes an obstruction sensor for our hard window treatment options to prevent it from closing on fingers or tails.

Operating Devices

There are five different devices that you can use to control your motorized window shades with PowerView® Automation; each device is connected to your home WIFI via the PowerView® Hub and can handle several motorized blinds at the same time. Devices include the following:

A Variety of Power Options

In the same way that PowerView® Automation offers several operating device options, we also provide a wealth of different power options. The most popular are battery wands which are hidden in the headrail of your window treatment and can be quickly taken down for recharge or replacement.

You can choose between rechargeable battery wands or ones that require replacing standard-size batteries. If you don’t want the hassle of batteries, we also offer an 18V DC Power Supply that can plug into any standard outlet or a 16-shade DC power supply that is integrated directly into your home’s electrical grid.
